Dear Friends and Motoring Enthusiasts, We hope you all had a great “long weekend”. I wanted to thank everyone for joining us, and for demonstrating excellent car control both forward and backward – and zero port-a-potty events! If we were giving awards they would go something like this: · Ken Smith for Best Figure Eight – on purpose, sure Ken! · Zeljko Popovic for Best Hair and dirtiest car · Dino Tamvakis for Best Scare when he was accidentally sent out with the beginners group · Ralph Gilles for Best…um… just tearing up the front straight in his 2008 ACR Viper · Scott Reynaert for Best Hat – Sorry Scott, a recount shows that you tied with Fidel Colman. Must be a Steve’s European Auto thing. · Carol Persad for Best Registration – hey, she’s my wife. For those who didn’t attend on Monday – it was awesome and we got nothing but very positive feedback on the experience. The summer is winding down, and some of us are preparing for NASA Nationals at Mid Ohio. After that it’s Halloween, then time to start thinking about the 2009 April driving event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan. We are planning on good weather and something different for everyone. Spectator-Racing.com puts you on the track with experienced instructors who share your passion for a unique driving experience. We will have an in-depth classroom instruction for those interested, and as usual, with our personal in-car instructions you will learn how to master the skills necessary to handle your car in any situation. For those of you that are experienced at these sorts of events, we do offer an advanced group with more liberal passing zones. During the day you will learn various driving techniques, vehicle dynamics, as well as discovering the limits of vehicle handling - and yourself. However, while the setting is a race track, the Spectator-Racing.com event is not a racing school. It is a place to learn advanced driving techniques in a fun and controlled environment. If you plan on registering, please do so @ Spectator-Racing.com. Students are accepted on a first come first serve basis … space is limited. |
